ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Today: We start our first weekend of May with fantastic sunshine, but don't let that heat sneak up on you! Following a morning where temperatures kicked off in the mid-70s, we will be on the fast track to seasonably warm temperatures with afternoon highs spread across the upper-80s and lower-90s.
An afternoon sea breeze will once again help stir up another chance for a few daytime-driven pop-up showers for the late afternoon and early evening hours, especially inland. Otherwise, expect plenty of sunshine.
The Weekend: There will be a few isolated showers, 20% chance, returning Saturday as daytime highs climb in the upper 80s. Rain chances bump up slightly to 30-40% by Sunday.
